Class III Kayak Workshop
This 2-day workshop is for those with existing
Class II - V kayaking experience.

What to expect:
- Each day of training starts in our classroom. Readings and discussions provide the opportunity to learn concepts, and vocabulary and visualize scenarios.
- On-land skills sessions include:
- Equipment work; kayak care, maintenance, personal gear
- Rope work; tow tether, throw bag rescues, knot tying, anchor building
- On-the-water skills sessions include:
- Use of safety equipment
- River etiquette and safe practices
- Reading water & currents
- Paddle strokes
- River rescue basics
- 4 Rolls
- As a team we move from river to river, section to section, and spend most of our time in and around the water.
Prerequisites:
Must be able to roll a kayak.
Participants must be 16+
We recommend that you be both in good general health and know how to swim.
*CPR / First Aid certificate not included in this program, everyone working or playing outdoors should keep their certificates current.

Accommodations:
- Attendees may camp out at BZ Corner, White Salmon, or make other arrangements.
- Attendees should come prepared to paddle, some loaner equipment is available if needed.
